Jean Augustine Archives at the Museum of History
In 2009, Jean donated a range of personal items and artifacts including political paraphernalia and trophies acquired during her years as a parliamentarian to the world renowned Canadian Museum of Civilization. These items will be preserved and safeguarded as a part of Canada’s national heritage collection. They will be available to museum curators as one of many options for display or special exhibition from the Museum’s inventory of assets.
The Museum’s annual programming includes Black History Month. This and other public programs help the Museum fulfill its core mandate of promoting a greater understanding and appreciation of Canadian history and Canadian and world cultures.
